Seventh Grade Social Studies
Instructor: Mr. Maas

In 7th grade history, we’ll pick up where we left off in 6th grade, beginning with the fall of Rome, traversing across Asia and the Americas and ending with the Enlightenment period of Europe.  Highlights will include the roots of Islam, and the Renaissance and the Scientific Revolution.  It is my goal to make history come alive for your student.  The goal in each middle school history class is to make history relevant to the students, to point out the similarities they might share with someone their age in different periods in history.  They’ll learn that they have much in common with people in the past, and the students will begin to understand that this shared past links us together.
